From its small beginnings on August 27, 1987 of seven adults and two children, MCWC has become a multi-ethnic and multi- generation congregation meeting and ministering in one of St. Louis' most ethnically diverse communities. At the turn of the 20th century, St. Louis' south side was built through immigration. Now at the turn of the 21st century, this church finds itself postured at the forefront of the rebuilding of a city that is being revitalized through immigration again.
Consecrated to God and dedicated to serving people, the MCWC ministry leadership team is led by Bishop Raphael Green, his wife, Pastor Brenda, and a ruling council of wise elders.
Bishop Green currently serves as founder and presiding elder of MCWC in harmony with the pattern established in Acts 13:1-4 of the Bible. The Bishop John Gimenez of Rock Church in Virginia Beach, VA. serves as the personal pastor/ overseer of Raphael Green.
This church is the first of several that are being established as God is birthing and raising up a family of ministries and various enterprises to be some of His answers for urban renewal and revival in America and abroad.
